My composting photos
I have composted for years. However, I only started my website recently and therefore haven't been diligent in taking a lot of photos. I intend to snap away this summer and will update this site regularly with new editions. I hope this will also include some video of my indoor composting bins and harvesting the compost
Me at my outdoor composting pile
Here is my backyard compost pile in all of it's glory. Digging into the pile of compost was rewarding...dozens of worms with every turn of the blade. My son and I enjoyed picking them out. Until you dig into a compost pile you cannot fully appreciate how many worms there are nor how big they can get! They gorge and get so fat, it's fun to see and show them to another.
One of my indoor worm composting bins
Here is one of my indoor composting bins. The picture on the left includes some worked compost, probably a month or so worth of worm-effort and the resulting worm castings. The picture on the right shows how the worms have started to eat through the damp newspaper on top.
